GDPR Rights and Data Protection
Your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation
Your Data Protection Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. We are committed to facilitating the exercise of these rights and responding to requests within required timeframes.
Right to Access
You have the right to request copies of your personal data. We may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive. Otherwise, we provide this information free of charge.
When you request access, we will provide information about what personal data we process, why we process it, who we share it with, how long we retain it, and what rights you have regarding this data.
Right to Rectification
You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data. You also have the right to request completion of incomplete data by providing supplementary information.
We will make corrections promptly and notify any third parties to whom we have disclosed the data, unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort.
Right to Erasure
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data in specific circumstances: when the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, when you withdraw consent, when you object to processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds, or when the data has been unlawfully processed.
This right is not absolute. We may need to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, or for other legitimate purposes permitted by law.
Right to Restrict Processing
You have the right to request restriction of processing your personal data in certain situations: when you contest the accuracy of the data, when processing is unlawful but you prefer restriction over erasure, when we no longer need the data but you require it for legal claims, or when you have objected to processing pending verification of legitimate grounds.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. You have the right to transmit this data to another controller where technically feasible.
This right applies when processing is based on consent or contract performance and is carried out by automated means.
Right to Object
You have the right to object to processing of your personal data based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes. When you object to marketing, we will stop processing immediately. For other objections, we will cease processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Automated Decision Making
You have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you. We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces such effects without human intervention.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on the following legal bases: consent you have given for specific purposes, performance of a contract to which you are party, compliance with legal obligations, protection of vital interests, performance of tasks in the public interest, or legitimate interests pursued by us or third parties.
Data Protection Officer
For questions about data protection practices or to exercise your rights, contact our data protection representative at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Protection Inquiry".
Response Timeline
We will respond to requests to exercise your rights within one month of receipt. This period may be extended by two additional months where necessary, considering request complexity and number. We will inform you of any extension within one month of receiving the request, along with reasons for delay.
Right to Lodge Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe processing of your personal data violates GDPR. In Ireland, the supervisory authority is the Data Protection Commission.
Contact details: Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, Ireland.
Verification of Identity
When you exercise your rights, we may request additional information to verify your identity before responding to your request. This protects your personal data from unauthorized access.
